We had great fun creating 2 films for National Trust Berrington Hall about Georgian gardens and Capability Brown with Charlie Staunton. These films help to support the great work taking place at Berrington Hall on their Walled Gardens and Pleasure Ground restoration project , restoring one of ‘Capability’ Brown’s final landscapes.
Charlie said “I relished the opportunity to explore Berrington Hall and delve beneath the brickwork to reveal the secrets cemented beneath. The fascination fueled the verse and when it came to the walled garden and the grounds I was instantly inspired and found that the poems in relation to this and the late great Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown seemed to undulate from my pen as the lawns once did from underneath his artistic eye. I hope that the poems bring some semblance of connection through me to those topics and that people from far and wide come to enjoy them as yet another piece of the puzzle when it comes to the great experience that Berrington Hall has to offer. I hope one day I get to work with the National Trust team here again as I had a wonderful experience and see bright and positive things ahead for the house and its beautiful gardens”.
Thanks to Charlie and everyone involved from National Trust Berrington Hall.
