Brockhampton Estate is owned by National Trust and is for the first time part of this historic building is being opened to the public.
For this project we filmed an expert in ring dating, who takes samples of the wood from the beams and trusts to a laboratory (which we will also be filming at) to accurately date the structure.
We had the chance to film an archeologist who told us what building methods were used and the different functions the house was used for and a historian who told us more about the people who have lived in this building.
This has also been arranged and organised by ex producers/directors of the BBC, which have been really good to work with and to gain knowledge from professionals who have been in the filming industry for years.
This has been a great opportunity to see a piece of history and to learn all about it from the professionals as well as filming the experience.
